When my mom talks people tend to listen.  She also happens to always be the most beautiful person in the room over 50.  Actually, over 40!  She is 61 and has lived a lot of life.  I was in her kitchen  the morning after we had hit up a sale at the local beauty supply (if that type of thing excites you stick close) and it went something like this:


me: you should start a blog.
her: why?
me: because you have 40 plus years under your belt of seeking out the best beauty products on the planet, you look fabulous, and people are dying for the information.  I'm actually dying for the information and I'm only 35.
her: interesting.


So, I talked her into it and here is our blog.  We're not sure what the point is yet but I do know you'll want to keep coming back.  When we were brainstorming potential topics she emailed me with a gold-mine-of-a list with titles like, "Skin: If I connected all the dots, would I have a picture?" And, "Chirstmas every year, really?"  Or, "Hair problems, not on our heads."  So I will pick my mom's brain on the topics of AGE & BEAUTY, FOOD, CLOTHES, HOME DECOR and sometimes I'll add my 2 cents.  Most likely these posts will sound a lot like the daily conversations she and I have--the ones that anchor our days and that we have grown to depend on. 


Dang it, this is going to be fun.
